Smooth, Simple Book Day Ushers in Start of New School Year
The first of two Book Days took place without a hitch on Tuesday, Aug. 9, as Jesuit faculty and staff welcomed seniors, juniors, and sophomores back to Carrollton and Banks. Book Day signals the official start of the new school year, and if Tuesday was any indication, the 2016 – 2017 school year will be a smooth one.
Blue Jays navigated through a labyrinth of stations and tables with ease, gathering books and supplies along the way in preparation for the new year. Stations for student ID photos, textbook pick-up, and P.E. uniform purchasing were just a few of the many stops made by Blue Jays throughout the day.
Freshmen and Pre-Freshmen Book Day
Book Day for freshmen and pre-freshmen will be held on Wednesday, Aug. 10. Blue Jays and their parents should review the 2016 Book Day: Procedures, Schedules, & Resources to ensure they are prepared.
When arriving on campus, students should line up in the green stairwell nearest the Banks Street entrance to be directed into the Hall of Honors on the second floor. Book Day stations begin outside room 227.
