Scott Thompson ’92 Named Head of Berchmans Academy Upper School

Scott Thompson ’92

Jesuit coach and teacher Scott Thompson ’92 will be the new division head for Berchmans Academy Upper School.

Thompson received a master’s degree in secondary education from Loyola University, where he also earned a bachelor’s degree in history. He was inducted into the Loyola University Athletic Hall of Fame, where he was a four-year captain of the basketball team and a Presidential Scholar.

Thompson taught and coached at Jesuit for a total of eight years. He taught science and world geography and coached basketball, cross country, and track and field in the in 1997-2000 and 2011-2016. He also taught and coached at Brother Martin for 11 years.

Principal Peter Kernion said, “We will certainly miss Scott Thompson’s passion and enthusiasm, and we wish him the best of luck in Grand Coteau.”
