The Jesuit lacrosse team, in search of its fifth consecutive state championship, will face Mandeville in a Louisiana High School Lacrosse League quarterfinal game on Friday, April 15. The game will be played at Muss Bertolino Stadium in Kenner. Face-off is scheduled for 7 p.m. The winner advances to the four-team LHSLL state championship tournament on the weekend of April 23, at Joe Yenni Stadium in Metairie.

The Blue Jays went undefeated in South Conference competition with a record of 7-0.

Six Blue Jays have been named to the 2016 All-District Team: attacker Max Murret; midfielders Connor Martinez, Parker Simoneaux, and Dominic Sunseri; defender Gray Cressy; and goalie Rob Hinyub. All are seniors except for Simoneaux, a junior. Junior attacker Noah Martin and senior defender Sammy Martin, brothers, were named to the All-District Second Team.

Jesuit has beaten St. Paul’s in all four previous state championship games.
