The school community honored the Blessed Virgin Mary at morning assembly on Monday morning in the annual May Crowning ceremony. Junior John Kemmerly, President of Student Ministry, gave a brief history of the May Crowning before leading the assembly in a prayer in honor of Mary. Pre-freshman Sam Dreuil crowned the statue of Mary, receiving the crown of flowers from junior Benji Creel.

The crowning is part of traditional devotions to honor Mary, the school’s patroness, throughout the month of May. The crown of flowers symbolizes Mary’s virtues and our love for our heavenly Mother.
