Junior Grant Glorioso recorded an even-par 72 on Beau Chene’s Oak Course to help the Blue Jay golf team finish first at the District 4 Tournament.

The LHSAA Division I – Region II Golf Tournament scheduled for Tuesday, April 28, has been been pushed back a day. Officials moved the event to Wednesday, April 29, to let the Carter Plantation Golf Club near Hammond dry out following a torrential rain on Monday.

The Blue Jays qualified for the regional round by finishing first in the District 4 Tournament on Monday, April 20. The ten-team event took place on the Oak Course at Beau Chene Country in Mandeville.

The Blue Jays, who shot a combined 321, finished two strokes ahead of rival St. Paul’s (323). Brother Martin (336) and Fontainebleau (340) were the other two teams to qualify for this week’s competition. Junior Grant Glorioso’s shot an even-par 72 to lead the way for the Jays.

The Division I – Region II Tournament tees off at 8:30 a.m. 

The Boys’ State Golf Tournament is scheduled for May 4 and 5 in Lafayette.
