Junior Carlo Carino, pictured above at an earlier match, shot a 36 to help the Jesuit golf team beat Bro. Martin on Tuesday, April 7, at Lakewood Golf Club.

Junior Carlo Carino shot a lights-out 36 on Tuesday, April 7, to help the Jesuit golf team squeak by Brother Martin, 156-160. The head-to-head match was played at Lakewood Golf Club.

Sophomore Sean Donovan posted a more than respectable 37. Other scores added to the team total were senior Colin Hery’s 41 and junior Grant Glorioso’s 42. J.T. Holmes’s 43 and Johnny Cedro’s 44 were discarded.

The Blue Jays were coming off an outstanding team performance and sensational individual accomplishment at The Palmetto High School Golf Championship in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.

The Crusaders and Blue Jays will meet again on Thursday, April 9, on the same course.
