Jesuit to Hold Cheerleading Tryouts for Girls on March 21

Jesuit’s 2014-2015 Cheerleading Team is coached by Jenny Johnston and moderated by Brother William Dardis ’58.

Try-outs for next year’s Cheerleading Team are on Saturday, March 21, 2015 in Jesuit’s gymnasium on Banks Street.

Tryouts are open to anyone who will be attending an all-girls Catholic school in the 2015-16 school year and will be entering grades 9-12. Tryouts are designed for all cheerleader hopefuls as well as returning cheerleaders. The co-ed squad performs in basketball and football games, parades, school functions, and state cheering competitions.

Registration begins promptly at 8:30 a.m. For tryouts, you will learn a cheer, a chant, and a small dance routine. Teaching takes place in the morning with judging in the afternoon.

Attire

Please wear shirt, modest shorts, and tennis shoes.

Have all your hair pulled back and out of your face.

No jewelry (Medical ID Tags are permitted)

What to Bring

Pack your lunch and bring plenty of water

A copy of your most current report card

Tryouts Schedule

Registration – 8:30 a.m.
Class – 9 a.m.-noon
Lunch – Noon – 1 p.m. (Bring your own lunch.)
Judging – 1-4 p.m.
