Jesuit’s alumni served as a great resource to today’s Blue Jays on Career Day.

Each January, alumni return to their alma mater – some traveling from Baton Rouge – to provide the students with practical advice about their various careers. This year, 35 alumni presented on 27 different careers. Also, Chris Hannan ’00 spoke to the 8th, 9th, and 10th graders about career paths in general, using his own journey as an example. Hannan practices law with the New Orleans office of the Baker Donelson law firm and, at the same time, is an award-winning poet. A new offering this year for the juniors and seniors was Non-Profit Management with Gerald Duhon ’85 and William Stoudt ’07 presenting. Popular career presentations were Accounting, Business, Engineering, and Finance. Alumni look to give back to Jesuit in various ways. Their participation in Career Day is one of the more meaningful ways of reconnecting and giving back for the benefit of today’s students.
