Senior Foster Moreau explodes with 11 points in fourth quarter to lead a final charge against the Raiders for the 49-36 win.

Blue Jays overcame a first-quarter shortfall with a strong fourth quarter to post an impressive 49-36 win over Rummel on the road Friday, Jan. 23.

Jesuit (10-5, 1-2) fell behind right out of the gate, as Rummel (17-5, 2-1) started the game with a nine-point run, leaving Jesuit down 13-6 at the end of the first. The tide turned in the second quarter as senior Trey LaForge scored 10 of his game-leading 23 and senior Paul Kohnke added two of his six total points that evened the match at 18 a piece at half time.

The game stayed even through the third period with each team scoring eight. From the start of the fourth quarter, Jesuit took command. Senior Foster Moreau lead the quarter, posting 11 of his total 17 points and playing a stifling defense that shut down any Rummel attempt to keep the game close. Jesuit out-scored the Raiders 23 to 10, giving the Blue Jays the 13-point win.

Jesuit improves record to 1-2 in district play and will face Holy Cross in the Birdcage on Tuesday Jan. 27 at 7 p.m. Follow game action live on Twitter @bluejay_hoops.
