The Blue Jays are state champions of Division 1!

Jesuit defeated John Curtis , 17-14, before a crowd of 25,900 Friday evening, December 5, at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome. The victory by the Jays was the first state football championship for the school  since 1960. 

Senior running back Charles Jackson carried the ball 16 times for 142 yards, and was recognized as the game’s Most Outstanding Player.  Jesuit quarterback Trey LaForge was 7 for 14 in the passing department and threw two touchdowns to Kalija Lipscomb. Crew Jacobs booted the two PATs as well as 28-yard field goal.

Jesuit’s defense prevailed and stopped the Patriots on several crucial drives.
