Jesuit cheerleaders win top honors at 2014 UCA cheer camp.

The Blue Jay cheerleaders attended Universal Cheerleaders Association (UCA) cheer camp on June 17-20 at the University of Alabama and received first place in cheer and chant and overall superior awards in all categories. The team also earned the prestigious Traditions Award, which is awarded to the team that shows outstanding leadership.

The squad started camp with a home pom routine that impressed the crowd and the UCA staff. “Jesuit has always had great tight motions and good home pom routines but, this was over the top amazing!” said Bradley Allen, a UCA staff member. Not only did the cheerleaders wow the crowd with home pom, but team captain Hannah Moran and Sophie Millet were named All-American cheerleaders. Sophie was also invited to tryout for UCA staff.

Along with all of the amazing accomplishments the UCA staff encouraged Jesuit’s cheerleaders to attend UCA Nationals in Orlando, Fla.
