Jesuit Tennis Powers Past Holy Cross, 7-0

The varsity tennis team remained perfect in district play with Tuesday’s 7-0 win over Holy Cross. (The match was rescheduled from a rain-out on April 8.)

Blue Jays won four matches 8-0 in the win allowing three competitors only a few points. Single match winners were seniors Jordan Lacoste (8-1) and Andrew Tufts (8-0) and juniors Alex Depascual (8-2) and Gregory Suhor (8-0). Posting wins in doubles were seniors Jordan Tufts/Kevin Mickan (8-0), Gregory Suhor/sophomore Brandon Beck (8-5), and sophomores Jacob Niehaus/Jonathan Niehaus (8-0).

The Blue Jays (9-0, 6-0) won all nine matches played this season. They will compete in the LHSAA regional tournament on April 22-23 in City Park.
