Tim Parenton, a 1980 alumnus who lettered in four sports at Jesuit before playing quarterback at Mississippi State and coaching the Blue Jay baseball team, has been named manager of the Hudson Valley Renegades. The Renegades, located in Fishkill, New York, are the short-season Class A affiliate of the Tampa Bay Rays.

Parenton coached the Blue Jays from 2007-2010 before leaving for a college coaching position at North Florida.
